'Bali Lion' Illustration

The Balinese Barong and the Vietnamese Lân might come from different cultures, but they share the same heart: mythical lion-like creatures called upon through dance to bring protection, prosperity, and good fortune to those who celebrate them.

This illustration was developed in-house for Ginkgo's Mid-Autumn 2025 campaign, bringing these two guardians together into one image. It was a chance to honour the stories behind the festival and create something that feels as meaningful as the season itself.
